Roots

Roots is a project created to help parents revisit the foundational roots of their inner selves: as they were before having children. The name “Roots” is a homophone of the word “Route”, symbolizing the journey and the importance of planning and understanding as life takes a new direction: towards a new destination where their children are not the sole focus of their lives. Roots will provide comfort and healing to parents experiencing Empty Nest Syndrome (ENS), allowing them to reconnect with their core and grow stronger as they embark on the path ahead.

Roots คือผลิตภัณฑ์ที่จะช่วยสร้างพื้นที่ทางใจให้คุณพ่อคุณแม่ได้ย้อนกลับไปโอบกอดหัวใจของตัวเองอีกครั้ง โดยการกลับมาค้นหารากฐานแห่งความเป็นตัวตนก่อนจะเริ่มบทบาทความเป็น “พ่อ” และ “แม่” ซึ่งทุ่มเทเวลาทั้งหมดให้กับลูก แต่เมื่อลูกๆ เติบโตและออกไปใช้ชีวิต คุณพ่อคุณแม่หลายคนต้องเผชิญกับภาวะ Empty Nest Syndrome (ENS) ซึ่งทำให้รู้สึกเหงา เศร้า และไม่มีความสุข ซึ่งโครงการณ์ศิลปนิพนธ์ Roots ได้ออกแบบชุดผลิตภัณฑ์ แอพลิเคชั่น และกิจกรรม เพื่อช่วยคุณพ่อคุณแม่รับมือกับภาวะดังกล่าว และกลับมายิ้มได้อีกครั้ง โดยชื่อ Roots นอกจากจะหมายถึงรากหรือแก่นแท้ของความเป็นตัวตนแล้ว ยังแฝงความหมายกับคำพ้องเสียงคำว่า Route ซึ่งหมายถึงเส้นทางใหม่ ที่จะชวนให้ค่อย ๆ วางแผน ทำความเข้าใจ และก้าวเดินไปสู่จุดหมายใหม่ที่มีตัวเองเป็นศูนย์กลางอีกครั้ง
