Out of the Ground

“Out of the Ground” is a graphic novel that aims to educate adolescents (ages 10 -15) about widely disliked insects and animals in nature in order to help them with their fears. It follows the story of an ant who must deal with the queen ant of her colony and find her own path in life. This project intends to allow people to humanize and sympathize with animals often regarded as “pests” through an accessible way, allowing for understanding in a way some may not have thought of before.
